A tentative theory of 4th and 5th dimension physics

String theory aside, it is common knowledge that our physical world can generally be measured in three dimensions: Length, Width and Depth. With the advent of Einstein's theories, the fourth dimension, Duration or Time, was theorized as being relative to the observer.

With the coming of digital technology and invention of digital storage devices I have noticed the possibility of a potential fifth dimension: Capacity. This is not so much the physical capacity of an object (such as the volume contained within a cube) as this is merely an amalgamation of the first three dimensions. No, the potential fifth dimension, Capacity, is more a virtual capacity such as that of a battery, hard drive, or the brain. It could be argued that Capacity could not be something tangible and thus not deserving of a dimensional status, but I believe that it is precisely this that makes it deserving of it's own dimension as it does not belong to the other dimensions in any way. The virtual cpacity of a hard drive or the brain are not directly proportional to their size, after all there are hard-drives and brains of varying sizes that can contain drastically different volumes.

Now, if by some chance my theory of fifth dimensional physics is correct, then I put forward another theory, the physical capacity of a third dimensional object can be changed by increasing or decreasing the pressure within the object, thus compressing it's contents, and the same effect can be done with the virtual capacity of the fifth dimension by using techniques such as data compression. As there is no physical way to even put contents into a first or second dimension object we cannot include them in our theory. Now, knowing that all dimension capable of containing something, be it virtual, or physical, can likewise have their contents compressed or expanded by rather simple and readily available methods, I put forward the theory that as actions can be placed within the confines of the fourth dimension, Time, that it as well can be compressed or expanded by similar means.

As of yet, that is all, and as stated in the title it's all tentative.
